Visiting Rhode Island Beaches

I don’t know about you but I love the beach. Rhode Island has my favorite beaches in New England. There something for everyone, there are beaches ideal for small children, beaches with nice waves and beaches with a little in between where you can show off your tan. Let’s start with the small children beach. Wheeler State Beach has small waves and is ideal for small children. When asking locals for directions you might as directions for Sand Hill Cove which is the street the beach is on. Wheeler has a snack bar, bath rooms and showers. There is a small jungle gym for children to plan on when they get bored building sand castles. East Matunuck State Beach is a great place to go if you enjoy body surfing. The waves are nice and they have restrooms and snacks. There are no pets at this beach during the summer months. I recommend this beach if your family are avid body surfers and are use to larger waves. Narragansett Town Beach and Scarborough State Beach North and South is my favorite beaches. They both have wheel chair access right on to the beach, snack bars, and restrooms. Scarborough has a nice picnic area with tables if you choose to bring your own food. Another nice feature about Scarborough is the large grassy area for throwing a football or Frisbee. http://onesource.eordersonline.com
